Duration of your School: So far, the experiences have been:
  • 3 one-week courses each academic semester (July 2023, January and July 2024), and
  • a closed course for government officials lasting 1 month during the second semester of 2024 (October-November).
Besides Internet Governance do you focus on another sub topic? All the topics discussed are related to Internet Governance and its link with International Relations. In this line, once the fundamental issues of IG have been addressed, modules are developed to deepen specific subjects such as international regimes on digital issues, digital trade integration, etc.
Is your school associated with or co-located with any other event or process? Organizer of the School (University of Chile. Institute of International Studies) is an IGF Chile Board Member (recognized by the UN IGF Secretariat) as representative of the Academia sector.
What is the funding model of your SIG? Not for profit

Anything else you would like to tell us about your school? This School is the first academic experience on the subject in the country, for which reason it has even been given to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has been supported by LACNIC in its support program for Internet Governance Schools.
